Roles

For designers

Itera lets designers refine UI through runnable prototypes instead of only handing off static mockups.

Your typical flow:

  1. Get assigned an iteration in Product phase, often after a PM has done initial scoping.
  2. Click Generate Prototype.
  3. Refine the UI through chat, Select, screenshots, and Figma frame references.
  4. Apply changes when the prototype is right.
  5. Hand off to engineering.

You still use Figma for:

  • The design system itself.
  • Brand and creative exploration.
  • Components or details where you need pixel-level precision before applying them. You can attach a Figma frame to an Itera prompt and the agent will use it as context.

Your role shifts from designing every screen to setting the rules the system follows. Your design system becomes the constraint that Itera generates within.
